Mike O'Brien has welcomed confirmation that Sir Thomas Legg and his investigative team have looked at all his Parliamentary Second Home Allowance claims for the last five years and has confirmed that there are "No issues" and that no money needs to be repaid by Mike O'Brien.
Mike says, "Sir Thomas Legg and his independent team of investigators have examined my claims and I am pleased I have been given the all clear.
"I know they have demanded that a lot of MPs repay things so it appears to have been a very detailed check of MP's Allowances.
"They looked at all five years, including the ones just released and were satisfied that they were okay. I hope this now draws a line under the issue."
In the last decade Mike's Second Home Allowance has generally been among the lowest, in the bottom 5% of M.P.'s entitled to claim it.
